about

Kevin McKinney is an Emmy award winning cinematographer, a content focused sound recordist and a festival award winning filmmaker. He has been in the film industry for 20 years working on countless commercials, documentaries, TV series, studio films, and independent films. His lighting has been featured in American Cinematographer magazine and his inventive rigging on "Shitty Rigs".

McKinney began his work in documentary film while attending The University of Kansas, and continues to produce and shoot films, including the award-winning feature film, Corporate.FM, which follows the self destruction of the American radio industry.

He is a proud father, living in Kansas City, Missouri with his chickens, but is happy to work anywhere.  In his spare time, Kevin is also the director of "The Maestros", a musical improv company that creates completely improvised musicals from audience suggestions.
